πέμπω σοι, Ῥοδόκλεια, τόδε στέφος, ἄνθεσι καλοῖς
αὐτὸς ὑφ᾽ ἡμετέραις πλεξάμενος παλάμαις.
ἔστι κρίνον, ῥοδέη τε κάλυξ, νοτερὴ τ᾽ ἀνεμώνη,
καὶ νάρκισσος ὑγρός, καὶ κυαναυγὲς ἴον.
ταῦτα στεψαμένη, λῆξον μεγάλαυχος ἐοῦσα:
ἀνθεῖς καὶ λήγεις καὶ σὺ καὶ ὁ στέφανος.
